St. Philip’s College is among the oldest and most diverse community colleges in the nation and one of the fastest growing in Texas.  A historically black college and Hispanic serving institution with a semester enrollment of over 10,000 credit student and 5,000+ continuing education students.  St. Philip’s College is meeting the education needs of San Antonio’s growing and diverse community.  St. Philip’s College is a multi-campus institution of the Alamo Community Colleges.  http://www.accd.edu/spc/

President elect of the San Antonio Rotary Club @ the Dominion

Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world.  Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.  Our club resides in District 5840.  Almost 3,000 Rotarians, in 52 clubs make up district 5840.  The main objective of Rotary is service – in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.  http://dominionrotary.com

Member of the Board of Directors of Boysville of Texas

The mission of Boysville is to help boys and girls become responsible adults.  Children who come to Boysville come from various backgrounds.  By providing food, shelter, clothing, and medical services, we are able to provide the basic necessities needed to make the children feel safe and comfortable.  With Boysville’s education services, children realize their potential.  Sam, as a boy, was in Boysville and wants to give back to the home that gave him so much when he was a child.

Shriner – Alzafar shrine

Someone might say that Shriners are Master Masons who have those parades with wild costumes and funny little cars.  Another might think of Shrine circuses and Shrine clowns.  The Shrine is committed to their many children’s hospitals that help children who have burns or crippling deformities.  The Shrine hospitals take these children in and charge nothing to help them.  www.alzafar.org
